Wolfforth~ Day 2

Greetings from Haiti!! We’ve had an exciting and busy day. We were up early and on the boats to Kapaau for a fun time with the people of the small fishing village. When we first arrived, the Haitian children were eager to see who we were and why we were there. But as soon as our translators started telling them why we were there, they warmed up to us very quickly. We brought beads and string to make bracelets and necklaces with the ladies and children. The men enjoyed playing dominoes while visiting and laughing. Then we had a time of sharing God’s love through words and songs before we had the privilege of praying with and for the sweet ladies and men of the village. Then we said goodbye to them and headed back to The Mole. After lunch, we walked into the nearby town to invite the teenagers to a bible study that we will be having on Monday and also invited all the children to a time of playing soccer, football and jumping ropes down at the town park. We enjoyed visiting with their parents and had fun playing with the children for awhile before we headed back to the mission to help with the orphans down at the beach. The beach is a beautiful place with crystal clear water. We all had a fun time loving on the precious beautiful children. We are all getting acclimating well to heat and humidity. It’s very hot and sticky here, but a gentle breeze every once a while helps!! We are ending the day with a movie night for the orphans with popcorn, which is a real treat for them. They are so sweet and loving…..beautiful children of God!! We definitely feel and appreciate all your prayers!! We’ve seen God in so many places through out our day!!

  1. Love seeing all these pics and hearing about y’alls day! Especially LOVE seeing those boys ‘tooty ta’! Sending all my love and prayers!

  2. Love seeing all of the smiling faces! Enjoy yourselves!

Lots of love, hugs and prayers!

  3. So good to hear from y’all! I have to say, it’s different being on this end of these blogs and I long to be there with you! Ka Pa Fu is such a drastically different place than Lubbock and I’m glad y’all experienced their warmth, joy, and desire for The Lord, regardless of their living situations.

Continue to love and serve well, don’t grow weary in doing good, outdo each other in showing honor, respect, and grace. Listen to the Lord and you’ll be amazed what He does in and through you! Continually lay down your expectations. I’m sure by now y’all are realizing that delays and hiccups in your plans are par for the course. I love you all and am praying for you!
Make sure to love your leaders well. They give a ton emotionally, physically, and spiritually on this trip (and throughout the year honestly).

    Much love from the 806!!
