From Pleasant Valley & Momentum…

Greetings from The Mole! We arrived safe and sound yesterday around noon. We were greeted warmly and fed an awesome lunch before heading out to walk the town. Our goal yesterday was to meet as many people as possible and invite the children to a movie on the steps of the Mission.

We also went to the orphanage and played for a while before taking a short break at the beach…the beautiful beach. The water was so refreshing. After dinner, when the sun went down, we showed The Tale of Desperaux and shared popcorn and Twizzlers with all the kids. Talk about a feeding frenzy! 😉  The movie was interrupted twice by a power outage, but no one seemed to mind. It was a beautiful night with the beautiful childen of The Mole!

This morning we headed to the local park with a football, a basketball and a jump rope. We invited every child that we encountered to play with us and we got to love on them too. We played catch with the football and there was quite a game of pick-up basketball that took place. Lots of fun and lots of talent, and let me tell you, they are really good at the slapping hands game. Fun!

After the park, we went back to the orphanage…the kids are amazing, full of life and smiles and eager to be held and loved on. We were all too happy to accommodate them. After lunch and a few games, we cooled off at the beach again.

We are currently awaiting the arrival of the group from Georgia. They were delayed today. I’m sure they will be just as happy as we were to get here after a long day of travel and we are ready to meet all of them as Well and to continue sharing God’s love throughout The Mole.

Thanks to all of our family and friends back home; we appreciate your continued prayers, love and support. We miss you and will blog again soon.

Momentum was delayed in Miami. They didn’t arrive in Haiti until noon. It was a 4-hour wait at the little airport before they took off to the Mole. They arrived in town right before dinner! Even though it was a long day – they were in good spirits! I am SO excited that they are here!!

They didn’t get a chance to blog tonight since they arrived so late! They wanted to spend what time they did have with the orphans before it got too dark!

More to come tomorrow!! Please pray for Pastor Rick as he preaches in the morning. Our revival also starts tomorrow night!
