PVBC NEW YEAR TEAM – DAY 5

Hey!

Its Blake again today!  My grandpa got done with 1 set of gates. All he has to do is help put in the concrete posts.

Vernon has one desk done & 5 school desks ready to assemble.

They fabricated a 20-foot beam for swing set for the orphans.

Brent, Fred and Chris got 5 picnic tables done.

Jim got the cafeteria/kitchen all wired with lights. Cliff helped wire the school rooms.

Tim met with the ladies (mission staff) and encouraged them. He met with the church for the 2nd day in a row to discuss the role of the pastor & the congregation. He continues to pour into the new pastor & the Mole community.

I went to the fishing village with my mom and Betty and Candace. We had so much fun. I took a soccer ball and 4 of the little boys played soccer. They loved all the supplies we brought them. It was funny because the guys were demanding for bags which were the crafts that the women were making.

Thanks for all the comments!! We love hearing them every night before dinner 🙂

  5. Hi PVers, Jose, Jodi (and kiddos), and Miss Beth-

A slip of paper with some scripture verses fell out of my Bible this morning and I though they would encourage you in light of all the spiritual attacks the Mole has been under lately:

Psalm 66:12 “We went through fire and water, but you brought us to a place of abundance.”

Psalm 66:16 “Come and listen all you who fear God; let me tell you what He has done for me. I cried out to him with my mouth; his praise was on my tongue. If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened and heard my voice in prayer, but God has surely listened and heard. Praise be to God who has not rejected my prayer or withheld his love from me.”

I pray that each of you is encouraged as you serve Him!

Jodi… McKayla wanted me to ask you to tell the girls HI from her!! 🙂

    In His Love,
    Kim

  7. My heart is overflowing with praise to GOD for all of that He is doing through you guys. WOW – the construction progress is amazing! Stay strong, rest up and Gayla I expect some type of embroidery gift for Christmas this year! Candace – there’s still time to sign up for the June trip if you want more time with all those precious kids! Hugs from the GO Office!

  8. Hey Blake — Great work posting the news for the day. Amazing detail. The picture of you guys playing fibber with the glasses on is hillarious. I didn’t see any pictures of Grandpa working. I bet he was reallly taking an afternoon nap in his tent. The kids will be so excited when they see the benches! Janie and I read the posts and look at the pictures every morning at breakfast. She can’t wait to get downstairs and see what God has been doing through each of you. Great, great work. We love you and we miss you. Love, Dad (and Janie too).
