Naomie Toussant
Role: Worship Leader
Faves: singing praises, reading the Bible, praying,
helping out, dancing, playing games/jump rope
Partners in Crime: Hannah, Haylee, & Laika
BFFs: all her sisters!
# of sponsors needed: 5

Today we’re circling around this sweet girl who always has a beautiful smile on her face!

Naomie also helps lead and encourage and love all her siblings. She is a great help to the mommas and will help prepare meals, clean up, and organize all the younger kids. She selflessly steps up and serves whenever she can and she is a blessing for all those connected to our mission family.

Naomie is also quick to organize and lead her brothers and sisters in song or prayer. This girl is always singing, dancing, or clapping her hands for Jesus! She loves to praise Him! She is unafraid to share her faith or serve God and it crazy the faith she shows. It is such a wonderful thing to watch as she leads the younger kids in song or as she leads them in praying for the things that really touch her heart.

She has such a sweet heart that is aware of the hurts of those around her. She realizes what a blessing life is and that all she has is from God and her heart desires to pray for those who have even less than her or who are hurting. She has prayed for me and other short-term team members as they prepare to leave Haiti as she can see the sadness in their eyes and heart as they leave this place they love. So besides being a worship leader, this little girl is quite the prayer warrior!

Romans 12:15
"Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep."

This sweet girl loves all her sisters and they always have fun playing together or getting into trouble! She leads them not only in song but also in dance and you can’t help but smile when you see them all dancing and jumping around as they create their own choreographed dances and songs. They love to play games together or jump rope out on campus. And although there can be some mischief when all the older girls get together (Naomie, Hannah, Haylee, & Laika) it is touching when you see them come together as family to care for each other and their younger siblings.

Today I want to circle Naomie in prayer. She has such a faithful heart that desires to serve God and others and I pray that she never loses this ability to see the hurt in the lives of the others and want to respond with prayer. As she grows older I pray that thankfulness continues to be a theme in her life, that she would continue to recognize all the things God has blessed her with and that He would guide her in how to use those things for Him and to advance His kingdom. I pray her trust and faith in God will continue to grow and that as an adult she will come to completely rely on Him. I pray that she will not let the circumstances of life shake her or her faith; she already has been through so much and I pray she continues to believe that God can carry her through anything that may come. I pray that this passage from Psalm 16 will be characteristic of her and will be the heartbeat of her life:

Psalm 16:5-11
"You, Lord, are all I have, and you give me all I need; my future is in your hands. How wonderful are your gifts to me; how good they are! I praise the Lord, because he guides me, and in the night my conscience warns me. I am always aware of the Lord's presence; he is near, and nothing can shake me. And so I am thankful and glad, and I feel completely secure, because you protect me from the power of death. I have served you faithfully, and you will not abandon me to the world of the dead. You will show me the path that leads to life; your presence fills me with joy and brings me pleasure forever."
