Whew, we made it. Sunday was a 24-hour marathon of traveling but we made it! We arrived early Monday morning at about 2:30 am! The ride from Port-au-Prince to Mole was interesting and filled with new experiences like our van breaking down and walking up a portion of the mountain we drove through. Even through all the craziness of traveling, I have to say this team has remained positive and upbeat.
After a great welcome by the mission staff, we headed to bed for some much needed rest. Today was orientation and some sightseeing. We also had the opportunity to take the children from the orphanage to the beach to play in the water. We all had a blast and then we headed back to get refreshed.
Tomorrow starts work projects and more opportunities to love on the kids and serve the people of Mole. We are all tired but looking forward to what God has planned for us this week.
Continue praying for our team, we would get rest and stay healthy!
