Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!

Last night we created a small bonfire in front of the cafeteria so the church members, orphans, and team members could roast hot dogs together!

Then the adults headed to the church for our first official church service! The church isn’t wired for power yet but it’s amazing what you can do with extension cords & christmas lights! 🙂 They don’t call me the crazy Christmas Lady for nothing! I made sure everyone could see the steps as they walked into the church and had enough lights to see each other as they held their service!

We kept the kids so the adults could ring-in the New Year praising God for His provision & protection over them.

Bena & Pierre have their own soccer teams. Their teams played each other at 7:30pm in front of our school and the rest of kids watched and cheered. Then everyone came back into the cafeteria. Atznel (our Children’s Church Leader) had the children perform a skit about Joseph & his 12 brothers.

After the drama – we passed out hats, tiaras, glow in the dark necklaces & bracelets, beanie babies, & leis. Then we showed a few movies while we waited for midnight!

When midnight came – Jose shot off the fireworks! Unfortunately our new fireworks haven’t made it to Haiti yet so we used the ones left over from this summer. You may remember from the 4th of July Show that some of them had a mind of their own. We did have two shoot sideways but no one got hurt! 🙂 PHEW!

This morning we invited children to come at 6am to eat pumpkin soup! We wanted them to start the New Year with a full belly! Then we sent pumpkin soup to our fishing villages –  Preskul & Karenage!

We hope & pray you have a Happy New Year & that God continues to bless you   – not only today but throughout the year!

Please continue to pray for our ministry – that in 2016  – more seeds will be planted, watered, and harvested than all other years combined!  Pray that the men in this village will rise up as Godly husbands & fathers! Please pray that in 2016 the presence of the Lord will be felt every single day – that His power will be displayed in a way that can’t be refuted –  and that we will see His hands – His fingerprints – everywhere in this village.

  1. Hello Phil:
It was WONDERFUL hearing from you.
What a wonderful inspiration to hear of so many blessings that God is doing, and has done in Mole St Nicolas. So many people are being blessed, and their lives are being changed in a powerful way! Buildings are being erected, and the future that God has for Mole is great prosperity in every way for 2016.I am blessed that you are a part of this growth, and that I, even far away, am also a part of God’s growth in the Mole.

My prayer is that 2016 brings great spiritual understanding in the hearts of the men in the village, that the women will grow in grace and peace within their hearts, the children will be loved, cared for, fed, and nourished by physical food, as well as by the Word of God, and that they receive everything needed to live a prosperous life.

On another note, I look forward to seeing you soon as you join me in Boston. Enjoy the weather in Haiti, because we had our first snow in Boston.
Take care my love. Yours truly,
    Eunice

  7. Greetings to all of you laborers in the Greatest Harvest of all time, as you meet the need and call to serve our Lord in the fields “white unto harvest”. You and your works there are an inspiration of what we all need now to put our minds to focus on in these last days as we watch for His Coming.
My husband and I are not members of The Chapel…yet, ..as we’ve only been visitors for the last two Sundays, invited by our dear new friends, Vivian and Maurice LeClaire.
On our second visit we joined your church body in praying for you at your “send-off” to Haiti. I was impressed with the sincere warm welcome from many of your members, and the “Family of Christ” bond you share. You have a very supportive body of believers back home praying for you as you work for our Lords kingdom and His Glory.
your experiences and the photos shared so far in this blog are a blessing. Keep them coming.

I pray that each of you will experience a special touch from God….that He bless you with His Peace that passes all understanding, His Joy to fill your hearts, His Grace to encourage you, and His Agape’ Love to fill your hearts to overflowing as you follow Pauls exhortation in Ephesians.:
“Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God” (Ephesians 5:1-2).

I pray that you see signs and wonders so that you will return renewed in spirit and faith…inspiring others to the “Great Commission” of being laborers in the fields white unto harvest. He said in Mark 16:17

“Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.

Some of you might think that a real stretch for you to experience…but Jesus made a PROMISE to those that believe…didn’t He? And..”(You)Can Do All Things Through Christ Who Strengthens (You)!” (Philippians 4:13)

(Hugs to Viv n Mo…we’re excited to hear your experiences when you’re back. And yes, we are taking good care of your truck, it sleeps every night in your driveway! Gary still hasn’t found the right one. All’s in Gods timing.
Gee ..this comment was gonna be short…but seems it turned into a bit of a dissertation. 🙂

Peace, Blessings, and a very Happy and Blessed New Year to all.
Your prayer partners and fellow bondservants in Christ
    Maryetta & Gary
