Chosen Group Day 1 & 2…

Greetings! 😊

Our grand adventure has officially begun. We finally made it to the Mole, with quite a few stories already.

Story #1. We pushed Cassidy into the pool at the hotel. The rest of us were about to jump in, but an employee came running, yelling “NONONONONONOOOO GET OUT, GET OUT!!” Turns out, they had just put chlorine in the pool. They were really worried that her skin was going to burn (Cause, you know, it’s not like we put a bunch in our pools too).

Story #2. Troy used the second floor as a pull up bar.

Story #3. Collectively, we brought 8 decks of cards. You could say we’re kind of prepared, especially for moments like the ones in the tiny, domestic airport in Port-au-Prince. We were playing presidents when Melissa left the area for a moment… so we traded her cards. We gave her all of our bad ones and took her good ones. She had no clue. But it didn’t matter; Grace still lost. Ironically, we were cheating while on a mission trip. End of story time.

Today, we pretty much just played with the orphans and walked around town. While in town, some guys made kissy faces at us, had no idea what they were saying, but we just shook it off. Other than them, the people are so friendly in town. Tune in tomorrow night for tomorrow’s edition of our adventures in Haiti.

Hannah (with help from Kaylee and Cassidy)

P.S. Mom, I’m taking pictures of all my meals to show you that, despite what you think, I’m not just eating it because I have to. I actually like it. Love you!

Please feel free to leave comments! They will be read each night at dinner. You may notice a delay from the time you write until it posts!

  6. Keep the stories coming! May God multiply your team’s efforts and use each one of you in a significant way in the lives of the children you come in contact with today in the clinic. Father, I ask that you continue to provide your protection and wisdom to these that have offered up a part of their summer to be Your hands and feet to people who need to feel your love and hope!

I will continue to pray for your effectiveness in these lives of the Mole.
