Fowler Group Day 5…

Hello from Haiti!! Today is our fifth day in The Mole. We had the second and final parenting class. My mom, Shannon Nedds, did a fantastic job of engaging the women and talking about the four parenting styles. Later in the day we continued the dance auditions for the second year of Mikela and Malaya’s dance group, Our Generation.

Ten kids were chosen to be in the younger dance group for kids aged from 6-9. For the group consisting of older kids aged 10-20, they decreased the group from 70 kids to 43. The remaining 43 kids will come to final auditions tomorrow where a final 12 kids will be chosen to be in the group. It was amazing to watch them all dance so passionately and have so much fun together.

Around 3pm today the orphan kiddos made cards for their sponsors which was so cute and so much fun. This afternoon Jody also gave the voodoo/abuse talk. Even though this is my fifth time hearing it, I always am able to process a little more and pick up on things I didn’t the previous time. Overall, today has been a wonderful quite relaxing day!

**Hi boys! I love and miss you all so much and hope you guys are having fun in all the snow AHAHA

  1. Wow, sounds like a great day! I can’t wait to hear about your trip when you get back!
It only seems fitting that Chloe is a judge for the dance auditions. She can completely reenact the dance routine from Napoleon Dynamite. You should totally have her show you. Don’t take “no” for an answer, she loves doing that routine. The only thing better than Chloe’s dance routine is Shannon’s Kermit the Frog interpretation.
    I love you all!

  2. We miss you, Abbey!! This trip looks so amazing and it’s so awesome to see your beautiful smile. Praising God that you’re surrounded by awesome people doing awesome work with an amazing population of people. Love you so much!!!

  3. Love to see all the beautiful smiling faces!! I can almost hear the laughter all the way back to Michigan! Love you and miss you Addison, but I know your heart is full, doing what you love!

  4. I agree with the above post that the smiles tell the story. So much love and Jesus being spread there. Praying lives are encouraged and burdens lightened as only Christ can do! Much love to you Addison and to the team a huge “high 5”. Keep up the good work!

  5. Love, love the pictures. All of you are doing God’s work. Spreading the gospel, inviting everyone to love the Heavenly Father. Chloe, Emma and Abbey – hello and love you! Shannon – thank you for the parenting class. Such an important topic for the Haitian women. Nancy – I hope you and Susan are having a great time working with the special needs childs. Lisa and Rob – my love to both of you for continuing to minister to the people of Haiti. My next goal is to join you on the spring trips. Why not 2 trips a year? Makes perfect sense. 🙂

  6. Hi Chloe and Mrs. Nedds(aka mom)!! I miss you so much! Keep spreading the love:) I love you both so much and I cannot wait to hear everything when you get back to freezing cold Michigan.
