Wolfforth Day 5…..Daniel…

Bonswa!

We all woke up like any other day here in Haiti but before breakfast we got a chance to buy all kinds of cool stuff from some local artist. Then we went hut to hut to do a survey about there living conditions. The survey let the mission learn more about the families living condition so that it is easier for the mission to minister to them. After we were done with each survey we got the chance to pray for the family.

Right after lunch we headed to a village called Daniel to show God’s love to the people. We started off with a couple of games, as in the limbo and simon says, which the children loved. Then we set everything up to eat popcorn and show the movie “kung fu panda” in a room that really should only have 50 people in it but there was so many people wanting to see their first movie ever, that we got close to 150+ adults and children in this small room. There was still tons of people outside that could not get in the room, so we through the frisbee and played soccer with them. It was amazing seeing so many people come to a unplaned event and the only way they knew to come was when a bunch of white Americans come in on a truck.

Tomorrow we start our long journey back home by riding a bus back to Port au Prince, and then we will catch a flight back to the U.S. on Friday morning. See y’all soon.

  1. Hi Jody. It’s been a long time since Carol and I were introduced to Haiti by your father. Our love for Haiti has grown and I still make trips in with a mission from the area in SC where we minister. It’s called Haitian Christian Projects and is in the are of Christianville. We have 3 orphanages we help with and 7 churches. Carol and I are on the Board of Directors. I hope to get back to Haiti this fall sometime. I was there for the earthquake a couple of years ago. Tell your family hello and we will keep your work in our prayers. God bless
