Girls Just Want To Have Fun…

School’s been back in session for a few weeks now, so naturally, we had to throw the most epic end of summer slumber party with 12 of our princess girls! This was our first time hosting a sleepover for them, and let me tell you—these girls brought the ENERGY. I figured, “Hey, they’re 6 to 8 years old, they’ll be passed out by 11pm.” Boy, was I wrong. They didn’t crash until 2am after I finally laid down the law!

The night kicked off at 6pm with the girls arriving, dropping their bags in the classroom, and digging into dinner on our porch. Inside the classroom, mattresses and sheets were already prepped, but sleep? Nah, that was a future problem.

We kicked things off with a full-blown spa day in the therapy room, and things got fancy fast! The girls painted each other’s nails, the leaders got in on some pedicure action, and the kids went wild with lotions, perfumes, and make-up. You’ve never seen so much glitter in your life.

Once they were glammed up, it was time to channel their inner designers! We gave them a treasure trove of bows, sashes, ribbons, and random fabric, and they went to town. These kids turned out some seriously fabulous outfits, and they knew it.

What’s a killer outfit without a runway?

After a lot of laughs and posing practice, the girls—even the shy ones—were strutting their stuff like pros. We thought this little spa-and-fashion segment would take, like, two hours. Yeah, no. We didn’t wrap it up until 10:30pm. Nearly four hours later, the girls were still riding that excitement high!

After the fashion frenzy, we headed back to the classroom for the ultimate snack fest: cupcakes, popcorn, and movies. They finally went to sleep (sort of), and the next morning, they were up bright and early, 8am sharp, for breakfast.

When they showed up at Children’s Church, the girls couldn’t stop thanking us, calling it the best time of their lives. And judging by the level of chaos and laughter, we’re calling it a major win!

Check out the pics below from this wild night—we dare you not to smile!
