Texas Tech – Last Day…

Yo. What’s up homies? This is Chris. Hung out with some babies. Took a nap. That’s it.

Deuces.

Just kidding. Chris doesn’t know what he’s doing, so this is Maddux. We woke up today to rainy skies and muddy ground. Our original plan was to take some boats to KaPaFu, an extremely poor fishing village. Unfortunately, the waves were too great due to the storm, so we were unable to go. Everyone was very disappointed, but there was just no way for us to get there. So instead of going to that village, we just hung out around the Mole all day. We got to play with the orphans down at the orphanage for a while, and that was very joyful.

Throughout the remainder of the day, we did things such as rest in hammocks, play with these beautiful children, go to the beach, and just have fun. Today was our last day here in the Mole, and we are very sad to be leaving. We have had such an amazing week loving on the Haitians and sharing God’s wonderful love. Our lives have been forever changed. We leave for Port Au Prince tomorrow at 2:00 AM. Thank you all so much for your prayers and support for our trip!

Just kidding. Maddux doesn’t know what he’s doing. He doesn’t know how to write. We played pirates on the ocean, braving the stormy weather for a mere two hours before heading into port with our booty of rain-soaked backpacks and upset stomachs.

Gorgeous. Played with some babies at the orphanage. It was sad to see how much they need attention and are almost desperate to be held, some of us trying to handle three in our arms at the same time. It just makes me want to adopt more and more. After lunch we had some free time to relax and recuperate before our grueling journey tomorrow starting at 2AM.

Some of us relaxed in hammocks. Some of us did not relax in hammocks. It is how the world goes. Now we are eating a feast of rolls, spaghetti, cookie ball things, brownies. We will be in Port Au Prince tomorrow and will be leaving for Miami Sunday morning! Talk to you precious people soon and thank you for reading!

P.S. You can comment on this so we can read it.

P.P.S Beth, you better comment on this, I’m lonely.

  1. Hi y’all! I’ve been praying for all you guys and this trip for months and months and it’s so awesome to hear about how God moved in Haiti this week. I have to admit, I am immensely jealous that y’all got to go and experience first-hand what God is doing in other parts of the world. For real though, I know I don’t know you all, but I really do hope this week sparked something in all your hearts for further missions and ministry! You’re all awesome and I’m praying for fun and safe travels home! 🙂

    P.S
Chris, whatever you were sending me in the mail never came, so…you’re in trouble. Just kidding, the mailman is. I miss you 20x more now though and I’ve probably made my sister want to punch me for talking about it so much. Okay, I’m done. I love youuuuuu and I can’t wait to see you! Come home safe, sweetheart, I’ll talk to you in one day! :))) <—that's a triple chin smiley for extra happy.
