Today we feature our sweet and loving Samica!

Samica really is like a little princess! She loves people! When teams are here she is one of the first to make new friends and want to be held or carried around! With her ability to welcome and love others and her desire to build deeper friendships, she is definitely a princess in the making! She is always in the midst of things, wanting to know what’s happening and being close to her friends like a real royal.

I know that Samica has made a real impact in the lives of those who have known her; she is someone you can never forget! That desire to connect and build deeper friendships draws people in and she has made so many close friends!

Besides her gift for interacting with people, Samica has such a big compassionate heart. She loves spending time with her sisters or the younger kids and will help them out or serve them! You can see her sitting with her sisters braiding or brushing their dolls’ hair as she teaches and helps them.

This girl has got the joy, joy, joy, joy down in her heart as well! She likes singing and you will see her running around, huge grin on her face or singing quietly to herself! Her joy shines through her big, bright smile that she always seems to have on her face, and she’ll be one of the first to run up smiling, ready for a photo or a hug.

Today I want to echo a verse that I prayed for Samica two years ago. I want pray that this girl will keep her joy and never stop smiling, knowing God is in control no matter what life brings. I pray that she will continue to show compassion to those around her and that God will purify her heart for others. I pray that God will refine her compassionate heart, that He will cause her to look even more to the needs of others before her own as she goes through life. I pray that He will give her opportunities to show the fruit of the Spirit – His love, joy, patience, kindness – to those around her. And I pray that she will grow in thankfulness, I pray that God will give her the eyes to see all that she has to be thankful for that is around her right now. I pray that she would value those things and that she would give all the praise and thanks to God.

Colossians 3:12-15
“Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful.”

Guess what?! Samica needs 1 more sponsor before her Family Tree is fully funded! A Family Tree consists of 10 sponsors giving$30/month through NWHCM to provide for the basic needs – education, medical, nutrition, clothing, etc – for the kids in their orphanages. Also, I just want to praise God for the ways He has provided through sponsorship for these kids and the ways He has answered prayers! Last year, my post prayed for Samica to be fully sponsored within the year. Although it has been a little over a year now, look at what God has done and how He has worked in and through the hearts of people! Last year Samica needed 5 more sponsors and now her need is down to 1 bare branch in her Family Tree!
