We have been asked multiple times if we are shipping again this summer. The answer is – YES!! However, we’re doing it a little differently this time.
As a reminder, I shared this post earlier about the continuing crisis our community is facing.
I shared this post earlier this year:
“As many of you are aware, our village, The Mole, finds itself in a dire situation where even the most basic necessities are becoming increasingly difficult to obtain. Positioned on the northernmost tip and serving as the last outpost along the coastline, we are both fortunate to be in a relatively safe area yet face the challenge of being the final destination for vital supplies.
Despite our resilience, we are reaching a critical juncture where mere survival is no longer guaranteed without significant changes. We have tirelessly explored various avenues to secure essential resources as desperation continues to mount.
You can now buy MUD COOKIES in town. It’s just fried mud with salt/sugar. This is our town and these are our people buying them. Little kids continue to tie rope around their bellies because the pressure makes them feel full. If I explained everything that people are forced to do, you would be too nauseated to continue reading.
Fortunately, after thorough research and drawing inspiration from successful missions elsewhere, we believe we have identified a promising solution. While I must maintain discretion to safeguard our strategies, rest assured that we are pursuing a viable & previously proven course of action.”

All of the statements from the above post are just as true now as they were a few months ago.
The mud cookies still flood the markets even now. The banks are now allowing small withdraws, which barely allow us to provide payroll… but DEFINITELY not enough for any of our food/operational needs.
I am SO HAPPY to share that we have been EXTREMELY SUCCESSFUL with our approach to providing these essentials. We could have filled a small warehouse with the blessings we’ve received. We are proud of the way we provided for thousands of Haitians in our communities – safely, with our upmost integrity, and with their full dignity intact.
We have been wise stewards and purchased/gifted everything we’ve fundraised for so far. It is now time to look at restocking the most basic of needs again.
Our best option at this point – is to continually purchase outside of the country, as we STILL do not have any real access to funds for local purchasing. (Though there’s no supplies in the markets to really purchase here right now anyways).
The other critical issues we are facing is our inability to secure medicines/toiletries for our orphans and outreach programs. Our pharmacy shelves are empty and you cannot find soap, shampoo, or toothpaste anywhere near us. We are also desperate to secure baby formula.

We will continue to purchase rice/beans in Miami. We will not be doing crates this year. However, we will fill a u-haul truck with boxes/barrels/totes of medications, peanut butter, formula, and toiletries – which will be dropped off in Miami.
If you feel compelled to support our efforts in acquiring food and sustaining our community, we humbly ask for your generosity. Every contribution, no matter how small, can make a significant difference in our collective ability to endure these challenging times.
Thank you for your consideration and unwavering support.
