From Freedom Reigns….
Hellooooooo everyone!!!! It’s Leah Barrientos here 🙂 Today is day 6 that we have been in Haiti…God is doing a work…So so much we have been doing…
Yesterday morning we had our last day of women’s conference here at The Mole…We asked them the day before what they would like to learn about…They all told us “We want to hear your testimonies!!!!!” You overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of your testimony! So that’s what we shared on as a group…Their hearts were open and I think they really enjoyed it 🙂
We drew names and two women won a set each of chickens and we gave every women a gallon size bag of rice…Such a blessing to GIVE!!! 🙂 Then it was lunch…Hatian stew and a COLD COKE is what we had…Cold is gooooood in Haiti 😉
Last night we traveled by truck to a Village called Jean Rebel to host a revival…Worship was by far the best…The sweet presence of God rested on everyone…Tears flowed down my face as I closed my eyes and listened to them worship almighty God! It then started to pour down rain so we had to move chairs and sound equipment inside a cement building…As we settled in, worship started again…Sweet Holy Spirit filled the place again…
There were about 6 doors on that building and there were about 10 faces trying their hardest to look through the door as Jakob preached…Even through the cracks in the cement you would see fingers and eyeballs peeking through into the service…Young children in the front rows were so attentive…Their eyes were glued on Jakob…Altar call time came…Jakob called out for those who wanted healing…Now this is a Village that has never had a revival, at least hosted by Americans…They were shy when it came to coming up to the front of the church…
Blessed my heart so much that the first people to come up told Jakob they wanted to give their lives to the Lord!!!!! HALLELUJAH!!!!!! That’s what we came here for…God is good…Then the altars flooded with people…Everyone wanted prayer…And they got it 🙂
Thank you all for your prayers…We feel them…The nights have been a lot cooler and we are sleeping better now PTL! Keep them coming, we still have 2 days before we head back to the USA 🙂 Revival again tonight in another Village…Mare Rouge…PRAY! Safe travels, God to move, and memories made…

From Northside…
WOW, it is hard to believe that tomorrow is our last work day here at the Mole. While the work has been hard, we have seen the fruits of our labor through the smiles of the people who will soon occupy these homes.
Besides our work, we’ve experienced so many different things while we’ve been here. There have been church services every night. While we haven’t attended all these services, we can hear the preaching and the singing from our bunks at night. It is remarkable the true dedication that has been established here and how faithful the congregation is at attending. While we are gathered for our dinner tonight, we can here children laughing and boys playing soccer. It is a true blessing to see how much joy they have without the material possessions that we have come to expect.
When I came to Haiti, I was not sure what to expect. You hear so many things through television and the news. The truth is Haiti is rich with people who love the Lord and are dedicated to His kingdom. We have met so many truly remarkable people here and while we don’t speak Creole, a simple “Bonjour” and a wave puts a smile on both of our faces.
Our time here has been short,but we’ve been blessed by great weather and great hospitality and my prayer is our efforts will be lasting and glorify the Kingdom of God.

Northside team, construction is looking good!!! Thank you for all of the hard work this week building homes and a more comfortable future for the folks there. I can tell from the pictures that you all have been so blessed by this trip. Robert and Harrison, I can’t wait to talk with you both on Saturday, we can even do FaceTime (yes, I have an iPhone). Northside team, you definitely have given yourselves fully to the work, both this week and last week, and it’s exciting to see how much you’ve accomplished with the Lord’s help! And, not only with the physical buildings, but also in showing God’s love in your interactions with the people in the community there. God is doing an amazing work in each of your lives and the people you’ve touched and in the body at Northside and I can’t wait to see it come to fruition in the days and years ahead!!! I pray that today will be the best day yet in seeing God working alongside you and, again, that you will be able to overflow with thanksgiving to Him for all of His blessings!!! I pray also for safe travels tomorrow!

Hello everyone!! Sarah from Missouri here – we made it home. . . I was kissing my babies’ faces by 2am this morning. We had a good trip – no troubles, just long. And Jody, you were right – it took us forever to get through customs in Miami!! It was such an honor and privilege to get to know you all and serve with you this past week. Blessings for your trips home tomorrow – I pray they are smooth and uneventful! The things I noticed first when I got home – the cool water from my fridge, the carpet under my feet, brushing my teeth in my sink, and of course, the air conditioning! We are so blessed!!
