Olton Group – Day 1…

Big ole’ Texas Howdy from Haiti! Sarah here!

After long awaited trip, we made it safe and sound. Even with waking up at 3 AM this morning, the girls and dads are still kickin’!

We arrived in Port Au Prince with excitement and hearts willing to serve.  After thinking four different guys were Jacques we found our guy to help us with the Haitian traveling.  We rode from Port au Prince to the Mole on a nine-passenger plane. Most fell asleep, but I was having a blast.

Let me tell you this, it is hotter in Haiti than last time I was here, but the country is still as beautiful as ever. We landed and changed into swimsuits and headed to the beach. It’s blue and cool! We relaxed for a while, avoiding the occasional sea urchin.  We then, invited the village’s children to our VBS tomorrow!

We are worn out but so thrilled to partner with Jesus. Parents, be proud of your babies! They stepped up and embraced asking children to join us. They’re doing great and the fun has just begun! Pray that hearts are open and light is shone in the midst of darkness!

We love y’all so much! Leave us some love!

  1. Praising God that Olton has arrived safely at the Mole. Take this message with you this week “You are the light of the world-like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house.” Matthew 5:14-15. May you all go out and share the light of Jesus to everyone. May you carry out the work The Lord has planned for you this week and may He be glorified. You all are in my prayers and may you all be blessed.
