Michigan Group 2017… Day 1 & 2

Wow, what a journey. Started off bright and early Thursday morning with meeting in Okemos to prepare for our long day of travel ahead of us. From there to Detroit airport, then to Atlanta where we ran into other mission groups and met a few famous Haitians.

Arrived in Port Au Prince where we traveled to our cozy villa where we practiced for our long week ahead. Our singing and skits are coming along very well and we cannot wait to share them with the community of Mole.

Our second morning was up and going quick just like yesterday, we all traveled on tiny planes to Mole, packed in with everything! No waiting on luggage! When we arrived on campus, everyone was so excited to greet us, say hello to old friends and welcome in the new ones. From tours, to hugs, running around and games, today has been filled with love and God.

While on our tour of Mole, we stopped at various places in the village and prayed for those that live here. We prayed for health, love and that God can come into their lives, that those that live here can become closer to our savior. Our two days have been eventful and we are all very excited for our fun week ahead!

Our adventure has just begun!  Each of us has been called to be the hands and feet of Jesus here in Mole. We are excited!  This being the first trip to Haiti for some of us, we are taking it all in and have confidence that God will open our hearts and allow us to share the love of the Lord with the Haitians.

  2. Hello everyone!!! I am so glad you all arrived safely. I have been checking the blog every 5 minutes even though I knew you wouldn’t be able to sit down to write until last night. I am not used to being on this end of the trip. 🙂 I am praying for you all. Chloe- I love you more than chocolate ice cream in a cone and I miss you like crazy! I keep seeing your car and thinking “oh! Chloe is home!” and then “uh, nope. She’s in Haiti.” 🙁 Come home safely. Can’t wait to hear all of your stories and about all that God is doing there through you this week.
