The first week of April was spring break for the campus kids. We ensured they made the most of their time by providing specialized classes and activities. The photos below encapsulate the enriching experiences the kids had during our week of family fun!

In the mornings, they had the opportunity to engage in sewing sessions or participate in photography lessons with our town’s celebrity – Mikela. They practiced taking pictures in her studio, on the beach, and at the hotel across the street. They also took the photos for most of the pictures below, as part of their practice.

Rosie, (who already teaches English classes to 10 youth for two hours every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday) – ALSO added an extra class specifically for the orphans to attend daily throughout the week. She will often teach the words to a song, and then they practice singing the song together. Below is a video of “Wheels on the Bus”. I am SO PROUD of our Rosie!

Furthermore, our usual two-hour music class was extended to prepare the kids for a special performance at church on Easter. (video included)

Two of our boys, Djivensky & Presley devoted extensive time daily to creating artwork for the Superhero Camp. The children were each given a paper with a blank cape on it. They were told to draw whatever they want on their actual cape. Djvensky & Presley diligently translated the children’s 20 cape designs into vibrant paintings, investing countless hours into this creative endeavor.

We ensured that there were several hours of free-time each day – set aside for soccer, resting, or any other activities they want to do on their own. Each evening, the kids took turns enjoying 90 minutes of swimming and playing in the sand at the beach as well.
We operate our generator in the evenings, specifically from 7pm to 9:30pm. This provided us with the perfect chance to enjoy a movie screening each night, offering a delightful way to unwind and conclude each day of the spring break with relaxation and entertainment.
Praising God for the great week that was had by all of us here on campus! It was a MUCH needed time of family and fellowship.

What special memories you are making! Also thanks Rosie and Mikela! Love you all and those kiddos❤️

That’s wonderful. They are all doing so well. Rosie, what a great way to teach. And Mikela, I’m glad you are doing well and sharing with the kids too. It’s wonderful to see that life goes on in wonderful ways. I love and miss you all.
It looks like a fun learning week. Hopefully the skills one day can be used to further themselves, as it did for Mikela and Rosie. Proud of you Mikela and Rosie for sharing your God given talents. Love 💕 you!
