February Group Arrives!!

Oh my!  What a day!  We started out at 4:30 am and arrived in the Mole around 1:00.  We traveled by a small 9 seat plane and landed on a dirt landing strip but when we came over the hill and saw this beautiful village and the ocean all the weariness of the day disappeared!  It is as gorgeous as when we left it but there is much work to be done!

This afternoon Deb went to the orphanage and played with the kids, Erica started getting settled, and I stayed back and visited with the Castillo Clan and Beth.  We are very fortunate to be serving this week with long time veterans, some are on there 30th or more trip!!  We also have a team member that is helping the kitchen women develop new ideas and menus so I’m sure that the food will be fabulous!

Our plans this week include helping Erica get her classes set up, taking photos of the orphans for their sponsors, measuring feet for their shoes, and teaching the teen girls some new skills (crochetting) so they have a way to earn money.  It promises to be a week full of opportunities to be the hands, feet, and face of Jesus to these wonderful Haitian people.

Love to our families, both biological and in Christ…we love you and look forward to keepingyou updated on our adventure!!
