Wolfforth~Day 6

Hey hey! Kate here. Sak pase? This week has been amazing. There are a lot of goats and donkeys and chickens. The Lord has been beyond incredible. I am learning so much from the Lord. It has been so cool to be a part of the change that is happening within the group. Today we did a lot of construction and it was really hard but everyone was putting his or her hearts into it. Not just construction, but also everything we have been doing over the past week. I have been taking a lot of pictures. I ATE THE MOST INCREDIBLE MANGO TODAY!!!! (eye pull) Thursday when we went to Kapafu, Taylor opened up the floor for the Haitians who had prayer requests to come and receive prayer. When I stepped up a woman came to me and wrapped her arms around me. In that moment I felt the incredible embrace of the Lords arms wrapped around me. It was unexplainable the feeling I felt (touches shoulders and grabs eyes). There were definitely tears, but I was looking out at the ocean when I was just absolutely overwhelmed by the Lord’s presence. I was standing by a shack looking at the beauty of the place I was in and the people that were there and in that the Lord affirmed my call to missions. There were goose bumps and the chills and I was just completely taken up in the arms of the Lord. In that moment, there’s no other way for me to tell you except that there was no doubt in my mind that my Father was holding me, affirming me, calling me, and loving me. I am fully hydrated and in good health as is everyone else. I’ve learned lots of phrases in Creole, which I’m sure you’ll have to listen to at some point once I get home!

PS

Shout out to Dylan! Thanks so much for leaving comments each night. Haha I had this shoutout to you written before we read your comment on the blog. Thanks for sending swag. Your words are so encouraging for the team. And you’re right, Jody had talked about that in Haiti, there are no coincidences….There is a guy that we have seen 3 times who speaks English and has deep questions about scripture. It’s really cool that the Father is letting us be vehicles to teach him and so many other people.

You would be proud of the team, they are working so diligently and giving all the glory to God.

An Update for people who have been to the Mole before…..

Kenson and Santanya are translating for us again, they are doing well. Morgan and and the Castillos are also doing well. They have been wonderful to work alongside of.  The twins are so grown up! Miss Beth is full of wisdom, just like she always is. The orphans are bundles of joy, and the NWHCM campus has grown so much.

Thanks for prayers for our team and for the Haitians, God is overflowing with love and joy and mercy. He is very much at work here in this beautiful town.

Much love.

Hello again…….this is Regina!!! I want to do a quick shout out to my family: Kevin, Caleb, Dad, Laura and her family, Chris and his family and all other family members!!! Kayti and I are doing great!! Loving the Haitian food, this beautiful place and the precious children!!! We feel your prayers and can’t wait to share all about our trip!!! LOVE YOU ALL BUNCHES!!! 2. So great to keep up to date with all that is going on in the Mole. Love seeing all the familiar faces. It sounds like God is doing great things in and through you all. Glad you are all getting extensions…I always do when I am there. 🙂

Have a great last day. Be blessed. Hello all.

  3. I pray that the Lord continues to reveal himself to each of you and that you are being blessed and learning from the Haitian people as much as they are being blessed and learning from you. Continue being his hands and his feet, showing them the ways of Christ. We love you, miss you and continue to pray for all.

  4. I can hardly wait each day to see the updates. It sounds like everyone is having a wonderful time and I love all the pictures. I know that the time there is almost over, but I know there will be lots of stories that I want to hear. I do believe that the Lord is right there with you!!! Caleb, I’m ready for you to be home!

  5. You know when all the prayers you’ve prayed, and all the prayers others have prayed for you and all those moments of time sitting in the Lord’s presence and all those moments with God leading you to this point??? That’s the complete sweetness of the Spirit moving in His Body, doing such a tremendous work in you, through you and for the people you’re getting to love on. That’s the “good” Romans 8:28 is talking about. That’s God’s good and it humbles me no end to know y’all are tasting how sweet that goodness is.

  6. All these pictures make my heart so happy! It’s a blessing to see people falling in love with the “little ones” that stole my love so long ago! Praying for y’all

    Heart heart heart

It has been amazing getting to read what God is doing in everyone’s life. It brings us much joy to read about God speaking to y’all, but even more joy that y’all are listening! It can be easy to get caught up in petty things, but it sounds like you are doing an amazing job letting the Spirit speak to you.

    – “Kate, bring me coffee”- Jake

    – “Taylor, I shaved my legs. Kade, I was trying to think of something to make you cry, but I got nothing. I love you and dads doing good.”- Zach

    – “Jake, I am very proud of you. It takes a lot to trust The Lord and follow where He calls you, and I have no doubt you have done just that by going to Haiti. Caleb, Trevor, and Kade, you guys are rockstars! I know y’all have so much more to share and I can’t wait to hear it! Everyone, take everything in and remember what God has taught you on your way home!”- Jamie
