New Years Trip Day 6…

Dear Mom and Daddy
I miss you both more than you think. I think about you guys more than you know . I know you think of me too. I wish I could call you everyday and tell you everything that has happened. Today was our last day of VBS, which was bittersweet because you didn’t want to say goodbye but you were excited that they children learned the full story of Jesus. We also had the Christmas box present party tonight, Mar-Kenndy was very happy about his gift. He really loved the candy haha. My clumsiness has not been shy these past few days. It’s okay, I’m okay. Thanks mom for the first aid kit haha! Last night we got read to read your secret letters you guys wrote for me. Brought tears to my eyes, those words were so sweet. Happy New Years too, hope the Mexican food was delicious (aye aye aye) Lol. Tell Joel I said I miss him more than he missed me , Love you guys. – Selah x

Dear Grandma R.oberta and Grandpa Sans
I love it here. Its to bad we have to leave. I’m going to miss everyone here. Hows Micaiah doing? Did he learn how to say dadda, or does he still say momma when asked to say dadda? Happy New Years! Can’t wait to see you again. Thanks for the letter. It was really sweet. I gave my guitar to Andrew, so I can’t play. Plus I’m not ready to play full songs yet. Keep us updated. I look forward to reading your posts. We had the orphan’s Christmas party today. It brought joy to my heart when I watched the orphans open their shoeboxes. I learned how to dance to the love shack during the Christmas party. We baked 4 cakes, 5 brownies, and used a lot of eggs. We thought we ran out of eggs, but then Malaha and I went to the chicken coop and fond 18 more eggs. We used all but 1 box of baking kits. I have a whole lot of sand flea bites. I think I have about 70 sand flea bites all over my legs, arms, hands, feet, ears, and face. It’s hard not to break them open by scratching them. Is it really cold up there? See you Sunday. (Maybe.) 🙂
I miss you and love you and can’t wait to see you and Micaiah again.

  1. Selah,

I am so proud of you for being a part of the Haiti Mission trip. You are an inspiration to so many people, including myself, and I very privileged to be your father. I know that God will continue to bless you and those that you serve, as you become His hand extended. I love that my daughter loves the Lord. Keep shining for Him! Miss you and can’t wait to see you when you get home. Love, Daddy.

  3. Hi Lauren darling! Thinking of you all the time. The weather today is cool and rainy. Taking it slow because I go back to work tomorrow. I pray the weather stays pleasant for you guys. Stay safe and healthy. Marking down the days till you return. Thanks for all your work in sharing the Gospel.

  4. Dear Genesis & Kelilah,
We’re having lots of fun with Micaiah. He is trying to talk but we’re not always sure what he says. His favorite words this week are bubble and pop. He knows every inch of our house now (inside and out). He loves walking under the trees and crunching the leaves under his feet. He is eating lots of food. You might think he’s bigger than when you left for Haiti. He never stops walking until it’s time for bed. Give your Mom and Dad hugs for us. We miss you but we know you are doing great things at the Mission. I hope you’re keeping a journal so you can remember to tell us everything. Love you. Grandma Berta and Grandpa Sans.

  5. Hannah-

Its been the hardest week not talking to you and I miss you and I’m counting the days till you come home 🙂 Love you.

  6. Selah,

I think about you constantly and I’m so happy you liked your letters 🙂 I can’t wait for you to tell me about everything, I’m so proud of you. I will see you in a few days! Oh, and your shirt came in the mail on Friday 🙂 There’s no way you’ll beat me in Mario Kart but what ever you say. I love you <3

  7. Selah it does my heart good knowing you are doing the Lord’s work. Little concerned about your clumsiness, lol. However, you would not be you if you weren’t a little clumsy. We are praying for everyone and am very excited to hear all the testimonies and stories about the children. Many people have been asking about you and sending their love. Joel misses you!!! He has been cleaning the kitchen. No, he really does miss you. Hugs and kisses. Please tell Matt that Nibbles is doing fine. Love, Mom
