Chosen Group Day 6…

Hi All! Thanks for all the great comments; we look forward to hearing them every evening. We started out this morning with church. Even though we couldn’t understand much, if any, of the message, the atmosphere was something I’m glad we were able to experience.

We hit the beach for a couple of hours this afternoon. The water is beautiful, more clear than pool water in some spots. Troy and Allen played soccer with the boys after we got back for quite a bit while the rest of the team sat on the porch with the girls. There was some serious hair-braiding going on, but they seem to love messing with our hair!

Thanks to Jody and Jose for having us over for supper, the food was great! To finish off the night, the kids started making some cupcakes for the picnic tomorrow – they just left to go to the chicken house, so you can bet the boys were on top of that J Thanks to everyone for the prayers. Also, shout out to Aunt Charlyn today for your birthday! We love ya! –Melissa

Hallo friends, Allen speaking. Today was fun, church was cool, a very different but very positive experience. Also we went to the beach (yes mom I wore sunscreen) and I’m burnt. The water is awesome here and while we can’t technically go fishing, we found lots of tiny fish swimming near rocks and we think we might be able to catch some.

Also, for the many of you who are interested in the vehicles here, the Toyota pickups are mostly from the late ‘80s and early ‘90s. There’s also quite a few geo trackers. (Strange huh?) Also, most of the motorcycles are either 80cc Haojins or 125cc two stroke Hondas. The Haojins are just standard motorcycles, and the Hondas are dirt bikes.

Also, Troy and I made a late night visit to the Chick’s house, er, coop to get eggs. Got a few pics of that, you’ll see them. I can’t wait to see what else God has in store. Gotta go, see ya.

Happy Birthday Brett and Deana! Hope you two had a great day! Anyway, Paul, Benaji asked where you were but I didn’t get to talk to Alexson much. We just went into the chicken coop a few minutes ago to look for some eggs, and found a wonderful surprise: a decently sized spider on the wall next to me… Lucky us. Don’t worry; I took some pictures of it, so I have more than 5 pictures now.

Well, I can’t wait to see what God has in store for us for this week, and I can’t wait to share all of the great stories once we get back!

  1. Hannah, we miss hearing from you….you should post something. What happened to day 6? Are there any new pictures to share? We can’t wait to see you Friday night! Love, Mom and Dad

  2. Please don’t bring spiders like that home in your luggage…. please…😯 sounds like another great day, otherwise!

Continued prayers for the week ahead!

  3. Allen, thanks for filling us in on the cars and motos. And Jason was glad to know about the fish. Sounds like you had a good time at the beach (except for your sunburn – I’m praying it doesn’t hurt too much and thank you for wearing sunscreen, but you might consider wearing more :)). So glad you got to experience their church service. We can’t wait to hear all about it and the other amazing things God is doing in you and through you all during your time there. We are praying constantly for all of you. We are enjoying hearing about the chicks too. With all your experience with the chicks we may have to think about getting some of our own. 😉 Love you! Mom (and the rest of the Reams)
