Crossroads Day 7…

Bon swa (good afternoon for you Americans)! Today was a different day for us. We helped clear out a field that will be used for a soccer field and dug some trenches for the foundation of a school. It was hard work, but it felt really good to get my hands dirty. We stopped for lunch and then went to the beach to hang out with the VBS kids and roast marshmallows.

The ocean was so beautiful, I don’t think I will ever find that color of blue anywhere else. And watching the kids eat melting marshmallows was so funny!! It’s been a long day (and yes I am burnt; apparently, 100 SPF sunscreen re-applied several times does not do any good against the Haitian sun). But we have done so much for future generations. I praise God for this place and the chance to help these beautiful children.

We all look so forward to your comments every night. We sit around and listen to them prior to dinner. Thank you all for your love and prayers.

Joel, I love you very much. Very much looking forward to being home and in your arms. For now, good night, and sweet dreams.

Hello everyone, its Jennette. Today was a very good day full of hard work, sweat, and LOTS of sun! It was so nice to dig the trenches for the future school and clear out the field for a future soccer field. Going to the beach today with the kids was a lot of fun, but crazy! All the kids wanted to do was hang all over me! Haha, I had about 5 or 6 kids hanging on my front, sides, and back! I have to say I am VERY sore! Mark, I will need a major massage when I get home! Truly missing your touch and can not wait to see you and give you a big kiss! by the way mark the food is fantastic. BE JEALOUS.

Emily and Justin, I love you so much and have so many pictures to show you when I get home! Can you believe that when I get home, grandma and grandpa will be here! Miss you so much, hugs and kisses from mommy! Missing you so much.

I have achieved a sun burn today. We were outside digging a foundation for the school at the mission. Man do we have it good with all our heavy equipment. We then did a beach evening with the VBS children. They had a blast. Can’t believe that tomorrow is our last day here and then back on the bus for the roller coaster ride in the dark. Will be praying for everyone to keep their stomachs this time. Thanks again Crossroads for this incredible opportunity. Jamie, thanks for all the posts daily. I love you so much. Ethan i will be seeing you soon and i can’t wait for your strong hugs.

Today was very productive we are digging the foundation for the christian school for the poor kids, and clearing a soccer field, from rocks and weeds and small trees and brush. We went swimming with the kids they were so excited and full of energy. I feel like Tony Bennett, I left my heart in Mole St. Nicholas.I have become extremely attached to several children. Jesus is King of Kings and has changed the lives of these impoverished beautiful, little angelic face kids. Thank you for your prayers we need them. Philemon

  2. Jennette, I am a bit envious of the beach and work day, I would have loved to have been a part of it. I can’t say that I’d enjoy the food, but that’s just the picky side of me talking. 🙂 As for that massage, you can guarantee that you will get what you need. I will be sure to listen well as you share about your adventures and time growing closer to Christ. I would have loved to have shared this entire experience with you. Who knows what God has in store for our future, we may get the to travel together to some amazing place where God moves mountains in our hearts.

I love you more than you could ever imagine. See you soon, baby. Love you.

ps. The kids have been incredible for me, so we can praise God for that. They miss you and love that you sing to them each night. 🙂

    More love. xoxoxo
